Meet our award-winning organic-cotton rainbow blankets for babies!
The weather in the UK may have taken a turn for the autumnal, but I’ve been walking on sunshine for the past few days! And here’s why:
Our organic-cotton muslin blankets have won a bronze Junior Design Award in the ‘Best Product Design for Babies’ category!
The Junior Design Awards were launched in 2011 and are now one of the most coveted accolades for children’s designers, brands and retailers. The competition is always fierce – especially in the product-design categories – and winners are handpicked by the Junior Magazine editorial team and a host of esteemed judges who are industry experts.
I’m so honoured to have won and honestly couldn’t be more delighted! The best bit by far was reading the following review and feedback from the judges:

I’m especially thrilled that the judges picked up on the joyful vibe of our rainbow designs and colours, as well as the fact our baby blankets are made with super-soft and sustainable organic cotton. This is exactly what I set out to do with all Pattie & Co. products: bring a little extra joy into parents’ lives while providing them with multitasking, functional essentials that are kind to their baby’s skin and the planet.
The judges also applauded the fact that we donate 10% from the sale of every blanket to Tommy’s, and this means a lot to me too.
It’s a real honour to share the bronze with Bumbo, who received the award for their innovative Changing Pad. And to be a winner in the same category as Aden + Anais (who won gold for their 3-in-1 bouncer + rocker + seat) and Shnuggle (awarded silver for their Pebbly Bath Thermometer) fills me with pride!

What makes our Organic-Cotton Rainbow Blankets so special?
To answer that question, I’ll use the words of one of our recent customers, Kiks Hinton, who had this to say about her rainbow blanket:
“Totally thrilled with the softest, best-sized blanket ever!”
That pretty much sums up most of the feedback we get from customers on our blankets. We only use GOTS-certified organic cotton to make our muslin cloth, and our signature rainbow patterns are applied with a special print process to ensure lasting vibrancy with no scratchiness against the skin. It’s this combination that gives all our products their got-to-feel-it-to-believe-it softness.
In fact, another customer likened the sensation of holding our blanket to “holding a cloud” – a description I absolutely love!
At 120 x 120cm, our blankets are much bigger than your average baby blanket, and this also makes them pretty unique. Not only do they last well beyond the newborn stage (my son, age five, uses his as a replacement for his quilt in the summer!), but they can also be used for everything from snuggling to shading, den-building to dressing up, privacy to peek-a-booing.
As the judges said, these super-soft blankets “make the perfect gift or self-gift for any new parent”.
